Best practices for designing emails that convert.

"What makes a good email?"

This has always been something that gets asked often. It's important to understand what makes a good email, especially if you want your marketing strategy to be a step above other brands in your industry. We see too many brands that have emails that have been slapped together with ugly templates. After designing, writing, and crafting tons of emails, we've put together some guidelines for you.

  • The email content includes valuable content for the reader. This can include entertainment, a discount, educational content, social proof/testimonials, industry insights. Examples: An automotive company sharing articles on tips on vehicle maintenance, a supplement brand showing how to use their products in a recipe.
  • The design is consistent and congruent with your brand's site. Your readers should feel the same experience while interacting with your emails as when they are browsing your site.
  • Make it fun. Emails don't need to be boring. There are ways we can "game-ify" emails and make your subscribers look forward to receiving content from you.
  • Optimize your designs for ALL platforms. We want to make sure that no matter what type of device somebody is on - from a small smartphone to desktop - they can read every word and graphic clearly.

These are just a few guidelines to keep in mind when it comes to email design. The purpose here is to create strong brand trust and engagement with your customers and prospects. It positions you as an authority and people will begin to think of you as "the" go-to brand, regardless of what industry you're in.

If you've received any value while reading this and think it's time to explore how we could help you add an additional 20-40% in revenue for your brand in 2023, we'd love to talk!
